Update

So... I've been reading a few web comics regularly; Questionable Content, Red String, and The Dreamland Chronicles. I am a dork and proud of it, thank you. but seriously... these 3 are awesome.

Anna and I are going to see Hal Sparks (Mikey from Queer As Folk!!!) do a comedy show at Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle in Royal Oak on Tuesday. Tickets are $10 if anyone would also like to partake.

And lastly... I will be helping out with Affirmations Youth Prom on May 22. If anyone knows any GLBT youth that would like to get snazzed up and enjoy this year's Alice in Wonderland theme, let me know.

work...

It's only 3:40 and the jobs that are left in my pricing queue are either waiting on vendor or Bob. After cleaning out my mailbox and walking over to the Servo Lab to return TC's pen, I now have nothing to do.

Actually, I lied. I do have something to do. I can always listen to Brett talk... whether to me or himself. Right now he's telling me a story about how the pythagorean theorem proved to him that there is a god. :) Awesome.

I ordered books from Amazon today; the 3 remaining Bradley books in the Avalon series, plus the new release from both the Sookie Stackhouse and House of Night series. I love books and I love mail, so win win.

Alright, I should try to look busy.

Patience is apparently NOT my forte...

We're implementing a new system at work and today was it's official debut. It crashed royally about an hour ago. So now I have absolutely nothing to do.

It's driving me crazy.

WoodWick... fragrance never sounded so good.

I haven't written a blog post in something like two years. As a self-proclaimed writer, I'm somewhat disturbed by this. So I've decided to attempt to re-enter the blogosphere. Realistically, this thing may very well be dormant again by next week.

Also, before I start rambling, I must acknowledge the fact that one of my posts has spontaneously become a meeting ground for court reporting haters. Literally, if you google "I hate court reporting", the top result will direct you to this little blog. I find this fascinating.

Recapping what has occurred during my blogger hiatus does not sound remotely fun to me. So we're going to skip it.

As for the here and now, life is relatively normal and I'm enjoying it. I'm working at a repair center that deals mainly with GM clients. Every electronics job comes directly to me from shipping and then I have them priced by their corresponding tech. I have a new appreciation for why men love robots.

I volunteer sporadically at Affirmations, a GLBT Community center in Ferndale, which is only about 15 minutes away from my work. I haven't become a lesbian over the past 2 years, I just feel very strong about gay rights. Plus, I love me some gay men. :)

For the first time in my life I am electively single and have been for about a year now. I don't see dating in my immediate future, but I suppose you never know who might come along. Anna and I spend a lot of time together. Now that the weather is improving, we do a lot of scenic driving while listening to our favorite music and talking. It may sound lame, but I'm realizing more and more how refreshing it is to have someone in my life who I can talk to about anything and everything. We are truly kindred spirits, Anna and I.

I have 2 cats now, Gus and Coletrane. They are my sunshine.

I recently returned from a short road trip with Anna to Pittsburgh. We had gorgeous weather for the end of March and I really enjoyed the city. It's quite beautiful... almost like a mini Chicago. The reason for the trip was the first of five shows in Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers' Road to 1000 Tour. We rocked out to two full set list and had a ridiculously good time.

It's coming up on Noon, so I should probably figure out what sundress I'm wearing and curl my hair. Happy Easter!
